Terms of Service

These terms govern use of FuelConnected by contractors, fleet managers, and fuel suppliers.

1. What FuelConnected does

FuelConnected connects contractors and fleet managers who need fuel delivered with licensed fuel suppliers who bid on that work. FuelConnected is a marketplace and software platform only. We do not sell, transport, or deliver fuel, and we do not process payment for fuel. Pricing, invoicing, and collection for the fuel itself are handled directly between the supplier and the buyer.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate company information and keep your credentials secure. Suppliers are responsible for holding all licenses, permits, and insurance required to deliver fuel in the states they serve.

3. Fees

Posting jobs and reviewing bids is free for buyers. Suppliers bid for free and pay a lead fee only when a buyer awards them a job. The fee is based on the size of the job and is disclosed before the bid is submitted. Suppliers must keep a valid payment method on file; the lead fee is charged to that card when a job is awarded. The FuelConnected CRM is billed separately per user per month.

4. Limited job information before award

To protect buyers, suppliers see only the information needed to price a job before an award: city, state, partial ZIP, gallons, fuel type, timing, and delivery notes. The exact site address, contractor identity, contact details, and site photos are released only to the supplier who wins the job.

Contact information is automatically removed from job notes and bid notes. Do not attempt to insert phone numbers, email addresses, links, or other contact details into free-text fields to route business off the platform.

5. No circumvention

For twelve (12) months after a supplier is introduced to a buyer through FuelConnected, that supplier may not solicit, accept, or fulfill fuel delivery work from that buyer for a job that originated on FuelConnected outside the platform in order to avoid the lead fee. This includes contacting the buyer directly to move an active or repeat job off-platform, asking the buyer to close or cancel a posted job and re-order privately, or using another entity, employee, affiliate, or broker to do the same.

Buyers likewise agree not to close or withdraw a job in order to award it privately to a supplier they met through FuelConnected.

Recurring deliveries that began as a FuelConnected award remain covered for that twelve-month period.

This section does not restrict a pre-existing relationship. If you were already doing business with the other party before you were introduced on FuelConnected, and can show it, this section does not apply to that relationship.

6. Enforcement

If we determine a job was routed around the platform, we may charge the lead fee that would have applied to that job to the card on file, suspend or terminate the account, and remove the account from the marketplace. We may review job, bid, and message activity for patterns that indicate circumvention.

7. Messaging

Messaging opens between the buyer and the awarded supplier once a job is awarded. Messages are visible only to those two parties and may be reviewed by FuelConnected for abuse, fraud, or circumvention.

8. Disclaimers and liability

FuelConnected is not a party to any fuel supply agreement. We do not guarantee delivery, quality, volume accuracy, payment, or the conduct of any user. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid to FuelConnected in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the platform grows. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Notifications

FuelConnected sends notifications by email for account activity, job alerts, bid notifications, and other service-related purposes.

We do not share, sell, or disclose your contact information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time or manage alert preferences in your account settings.
